The Dolphin Square automation covered five pairs of Dorma ED100A swing door operators with radar activation, Flatscan 3D on-door laser safety sensing, slimline magnetic locks and 1000VA battery back-up, each doorset wired to open on a fire-alarm signal and commissioned against BS EN 16005 safety-in-use requirements. Two engineers worked over five days while the development stayed in use. The Central London roller shutter replaced a unit described in the project record as non-compliant, with a PPC finish, integrated wicket door and anti-fall safety brake; the work was scheduled around trading hours. The South London gate overhaul, new wheel assemblies, anti-tilt rollers, a new control panel and safety edges, was completed in two working days.
