Automatic Barriers
Rising-arm barriers, rising bollards and car-park access control, supplied, installed, maintained and repaired.

Commercial automatic barriers
Control access, protect your site
Automatic barriers control vehicle access and manage traffic flow at car parks, business parks, secure yards, logistics gates and city-centre access points. Avanti Doors supplies, installs, services and repairs rising-arm barriers, rising bollards and access-control systems across the UK from our Norfolk base.
What we install
Automatic barrier systems
Each system has its own page covering where it fits, how it is specified and the projects behind it.

Rising-Arm Barriers
Fast, reliable arm barriers for car parks, gatehouses and vehicle entrances.

Rising Bollards
Automatic rising bollards that secure pedestrian zones and restrict vehicle access.

Car-Park & Access Control
Barriers integrated with fobs, keypads, ANPR and intercom systems.

Site & Traffic Management
Barriers that manage deliveries, servicing and restricted-zone access.
Choosing a system
Manage the traffic, stop the exceptions
Rising-arm barriers are the flow managers, cycling in seconds, closing behind every vehicle, running car parks and gatehouse lanes unattended, like the FAAC barrier we installed at Searles Leisure Resort's main entrance in Hunstanton. Rising bollards are the enforcers, physical steel where an arm could be ducked, keeping pedestrian zones, private roads and forecourts genuinely closed.
Around both sits car-park access control and traffic management, the ANPR, fobs, intercoms and delivery logic that decide who each lane opens for. Every scheme is surveyed around real traffic, commissioned as one system and supported with planned maintenance and reactive repair afterwards.

Common questions
Automatic barrier FAQs
Quick answers for facilities and estates teams planning vehicle-control work.
1Barrier, bollard or gate, which does the site need?
A rising-arm barrier manages traffic, fast cycles, queues handled politely, rules enforced. Rising bollards physically stop vehicles where an arm could be ducked or snapped. A gate secures the full perimeter. Many sites combine them: the arm on the car-park lane, bollards on the pedestrian zone, a gate on the yard. The survey starts from what must be stopped, counted or charged.
2Do you repair barriers installed by other companies?
Yes, snapped balance springs, failed loops, tired photocells and dead controllers are everyday repairs whoever fitted the barrier, and a failed barrier is usually blocking trade or security, so attendance is prioritised accordingly.
3Can barriers work unattended?
That is the point of the design: induction loops detect vehicles, credentials, fobs, ANPR, intercoms, apps, decide who gets in, and the barrier closes behind every movement. The FAAC barrier we installed at Searles Leisure Resort runs the resort's main entrance on exactly this basis.
4What areas do you cover?
East Anglia, London and the wider UK, Norfolk, Suffolk, Cambridgeshire and Essex through to London and the home counties. Documented barrier work includes Hunstanton in Norfolk.
