Automatic Doors
Automatic door company for commercial sliding, swing, revolving and folding systems, supply, installation, maintenance and repair.

Commercial automatic doors
Entrances that keep moving
As an automatic door company working across the UK from our Norfolk base, Avanti Doors supplies, installs, services and repairs sliding, swing, revolving and folding systems for busy retail frontages, hospitals, offices and logistics sites. Each scope is confirmed against the equipment and the site.
What we install
Automatic door systems
Each system has its own page covering where it fits, how it is specified and the projects behind it.

Automatic Sliding Doors
Smooth, high-traffic entrances for retail, healthcare and offices.

Automatic Swing Doors
Powered swing operators for accessible, controlled access.

Revolving Doors
Energy-efficient entrances that manage flow and climate.

Bi-fold & Telescopic
Space-saving automatic doors for tighter openings.
Choosing a system
Four systems, one survey-led decision
Automatic sliding doors carry the most traffic through the widest opening and are the default for retail, healthcare and public buildings, from the bi-parting thermally broken entrance we installed at Reigate Town Hall to the single-leaf system at Worzals farm shop in Wisbech. Automatic swing doors automate hinged doors, often the doors the building already has, as with the five pairs of Dorma ED100A operators we fitted across Dolphin Square in Pimlico.
Revolving doors keep a conditioned lobby sealed while people move through continuously, which makes the energy case on exposed office and hotel frontages. And where the frontage has no room to park a sliding leaf, bi-fold and telescopic systems recover the clear width from within the opening itself. Whichever way the survey points, the scope is the same: supply, installation, EN 16005 testing at handover, then planned maintenance and reactive repair.
Before specification
What the automatic-door survey needs to establish
The right operator is only one part of a safe, usable entrance. The survey also records how people approach the opening, how the door interacts with the building and how it will be maintained.
Pedestrian flow
Peak traffic, opening width, queues, mobility aids and cross-traffic affect whether sliding, swing, folding or revolving operation is practical.
Approach and safety zones
Activation, presence detection, finger protection and the surrounding floor area need to be considered as one entrance system.
Building integration
Access control, fire strategy, emergency operation, power and the existing doorset all need to be recorded before equipment is selected.
Future servicing
Operators, tracks, guides, sensors and controls need safe access for inspection and adjustment after handover.

Common questions
Automatic door FAQs
Quick answers for facilities managers and business owners planning automatic door work.
1Which automatic door system is right for my building?
It follows from the entrance itself. Wide, busy, straight-through doorways usually take a sliding system; sound existing hinged doors can be automated with swing operators; conditioned lobbies on exposed frontages justify a revolving door; and tight frontages with no room to park a sliding leaf call for a bi-fold or telescopic arrangement. The survey settles it against the opening, the traffic and the building's constraints.
2Do you install, service and repair, or just supply?
All of it, as one scope: survey, supply, installation, EN 16005 testing at handover, then planned maintenance and reactive repair afterwards. We also service and repair automatic doors installed by others.
3What areas do you cover?
East Anglia, London and the wider UK, Norfolk, Suffolk, Cambridgeshire and Essex through to London and the home counties. Recent automatic door installations run from Norwich and Wisbech down to Pimlico, Bishopsgate and Reigate.
4Are your installations compliant with UK safety standards?
Yes. BS EN 16005 is the safety-in-use standard for powered pedestrian doors, and every system we install is wired, set up and tested against it, with the safety package, sensing, forces, battery back-up and emergency operation, documented at handover.
