Replacement aluminium final exit doors with toughened glazing, panic hardware and protective traffic bollards, installed in Crawley, West Sussex.

An aluminium exit-door upgrade
Avanti Doors replaced the final exit doors on both the southern and northern elevations of this Crawley site with new aluminium doors featuring glazed upper and lower sections in 24mm clear toughened DGU. Panic exit hardware, locking mechanisms and concealed closers were integrated into the door sets, with external traffic bollards positioned beside the escape routes.

What we supplied and fitted
Southern Elevation, Final Exit Door Replacement
Aluminium door with glazed upper and lower sections (24mm clear toughened DGU).
Northern Elevation, Final Exit Door Replacement
Aluminium door with glazed upper and lower sections (24mm clear toughened DGU).
Additional Installations
2x bolt-down external traffic stop bollards (114mm DIA, 750mm high) positioned to help keep vehicles away from exit routes.
Installation process
How the work was carried out
- Carefully removed existing final exit doors on both southern and northern elevations
- Supplied and fitted new aluminium doors with clear toughened glazing
- Installed panic exit hardware, locking mechanisms and concealed closers
- Configured both doors to open outward in support of the agreed escape-route requirements
- Supplied and installed two surface-mounted traffic bollards near the exits to restrict vehicle access and protect escape routes
- Alarm contactors noted for completion by other contractors as per site specification
