Town hall entrance renewed in Reigate
Reigate Town Hall needed its main entrance renewed — the existing doors, frame and arched head taken out and replaced with a new automatic sliding entrance under the building's glazed canopy. Avanti Doors supplied and installed a thermally broken aluminium bi-parting sliding door set and a matching automatic operator, working within normal hours over two days at a building that stays open to the public. Completed in July 2026.

A new aluminium sliding entrance for a public building
What we supplied and installed
- Existing doors, frame and arched head removed and disposed of off site — two engineers on site over two days, within normal working hours
- New aluminium double sliding door set in a RAL 9006 silver finish, thermally broken, with double-glazed screens, a mid-rail and single-glazed pocket doors on a double-ramp threshold
- One hook lock, with the doors aligned, sealed and internals trimmed as needed
- A bi-parting automatic sliding operator — standard track with SSA silver cover, motor, processor, pulley and drive belt, EBU battery back-up and carriage wheels
- Two combi threshold safety sensors, two side-screen safety sensors, a 5-position program switch and electric locking
- Wired, set up and tested to EN16005, adjusted and left in full working order, with all waste removed on completion

The installation process

- 3Bi-parting automatic operator fitted — track, motor, drive belt, EBU back-up, safety sensors and program switch.
- 4Aligned, sealed, wired and tested to EN16005, then left in full working order with all waste removed.
