For this East Central London (EC) commercial frontage, Avanti Doors removed a tired manual door set and pair of faulty swing operators, then installed a new double-glazed aluminium door set alongside an automatic swing operator system with Flatscan 3D laser safety sensors, specified and commissioned against BS EN 16005 safety-in-use requirements.

Manual entrance door replacement
- Removal of existing double door set and frame
- Cement-filled existing in-floor operator boxes
- Wide, double-ramped threshold installed for smooth, non-trip entry
Aluminium double door set & frame
- Non-thermal frame construction
- Standard-height mid-rail
- Double-glazed units
- Pad handles
- 1x hook lock to master leaf
- 2x flush bolts to slave leaf
- Double ramp threshold
Automatic swing operator system
- Removal of 1x pair of faulty swing door operators
- Installation of 1x double swing-operator package with a BS EN 16005 commissioning scope
- 1x pair of automatic swing door operators with SSA standard silver covers
- Centre cover section, drive arms and activation devices
- 1x 3-position key switch (allows doors to remain open in summer)
- Flatscan 3D laser safety sensors

The installation process

Engineers attended site during normal working hours

Carefully removed existing entrance doors and frames

Infilled floor areas where previous in-ground operators were located, creating a safe, flat base

Installed a custom wide double-ramp threshold to eliminate tripping hazards

Supplied and installed new aluminium door set to spec, including all locks and hardware

Aligned and tested door set for proper locking, operation, and appearance

Separately, removed defective swing operators

Installed the new swing operator system with key switch and laser safety sensors

Wired, tested and commissioned the system against the applicable BS EN 16005 requirements

All waste removed from site; work area left clean and tidy
